Sunshine Dreams

This is my fourth Double Wedding Ring Quilt and with each one I gain more skills. I was inspired by photos on Pinterest of this pattern with the ring pieces graded from dark to light. The intersections between the rings alternate between black and butter yellow, and I think the effect of the bright squares gives an impression of bursts of sunshine from the darkness. The fabric in the center of the rings is covered with goldfinches perched on sunflowers. How beautiful is that?? The quilt measures 66" x 54" and contains 951 individual pieces.

This quilt was shown in the Marathon Quilt Guild show in 2026. My very first quilt show! Now it's time to find it a good home, so I've offered it for the silent auction at the Dessert Night Gala at Emmanuel Church in Wakefield on Nov 6. I'll come back and include a link to the auction when it's up and running.
