Cup of Tea

My sister-in-law loves tea. She has a teapot collection and loves to host tea parties, so I wanted to make this wall hanging for her. She and my brother moved their family across the country to take care of our mom when she had Alzheimers and wanted to be able to stay in her own home. I'm so grateful for them, and this was a small way I could say "Thank You!"

The pattern is from a book I've had for more than 40 years. Each tea cup is unique, and I was able to use some of my favorite fabrics of which I only had small bits left. The gold teapot lid knob and the saucer under the top left teacup is from a beautiful gold japanese fabric that came to me from my mother-in-law.
